A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Hey, I’m Abdoulaye.

I love games, the people who make them, and the conversations that happen around them.

Quills is my space to share that curiosity: the games I’m playing, the things I discover, and the occasional detour into pop culture. If something catches my attention, there’s a good chance I’ll want to talk about it.

My path into games hasn’t exactly been a straight line. I studied law and worked in legal support before moving towards game design and creative coding. Somewhere along the way, playing games turned into wanting to understand how they’re made, too.

That curiosity is still very much there. I enjoy looking at the ideas and decisions behind an experience, but also just getting lost in a good game.

THE ROAD SO FAR

A few things that shaped my perspective.

Different experiences, plenty to learn from, and a shared interest in how people bring things to life.

MAKING GAMES

From an idea to a shared project.

During my studies, I worked on Recollection with a team of eight as producer. I also designed and programmed its memory bias system. It taught me a lot about the creative side of making a game, and the people and coordination behind it.

LOOKING CLOSER

Details change the experience.

I’ve worked in French localisation QA at PTW, now Side, and I currently work in studio operations at rcp. Those experiences gave me different ways to think about the work that goes into games and the teams behind them.

BEYOND GAMES

There’s always room for a detour.

Football has been part of my story too, and my interests don’t stop at games. I like seeing where conversations go, whether they start with a game, pop culture, or something completely unexpected.
